Should stop being a shopaholic TL:DR

Saturday, December 11, 2010

I'm convincing myself --- Kasi pasko. Kasi till 11pm ang malls. Kasi andaming kelangan bilhin kapag pasko.

I should stop spending! I can! I know it! I haven't spent like this before so I know I can do it. But what Louie said was quite true (but not entirely)--- unknowingly --- My lifestyle drifts because I can afford to. So I should stop it! I should discipline myself. I should learn how to go to ukays next year! That will be my resolution next year!!!!

Last year, I haven't spent a penny on a new dress for our Thanksgiving at church, nor have i bought my nieces gifts because mom always does it, and I haven't bought books, because I have no money, no work and was trying to conserve what little money I have left in my account for future use.

But since I have a bit of savings this year, I bought 3 dresses, I bought my nieces gifts! and even my nephews! and even my god-daughter (my friend's baby) their gifts since my mom is in NY since October. And I have been wanting to read DuPrau's series -- so I bought one.

BOOKS

speaking of books. I want to read the first chapter of Nicolas Flamel.
Also I want to buy some new books. VAMPIRES ARE FREAKING FLOODING THE BOOKSTORE! So when I saw a witch themed (young adult) book --- I grabbed it and opted to read it (a.k.a bought it) -- I hope this one isn't sappy. I hope this one has sense. I hope this one is different.

If I had more money - I was curious about that Incarceron book as well. (F*ck! - I just googled it --- they are planning to make a movie out of it and was planning to use Lautner?---- ) Now I am getting doubtful. Ever since Twilight has grazed the movies, series about vampires, books about vampires has invaded the market!

But the girl in the bookstore is raving about Incarceron and how different it is (but when I mentioned City of Ember by DuPrau, she said, it has sort of the same setting - city underground themed) --- and she looks like she knows her books -- so maybe I will still try it (may tiwala ako sa pagbenta ni Jeca nung Incarceron book)

Sorry ---- naglabas lang ng stress. ang haba nung entry. sakit ng paa ko.
