Books Haul

This is the biggest haul I've ever had when it comes to books -- that I like.. Biggest and MOST expensive!

A friend said to me, when you want to buy something, sleep over it, and if you can't take your mind off of it, then buy it.

I saw these Harry Potter hardbound complete box set in a faux trunk. I wanted this since I saw it (also since i don't have the first 4 books and my sister lost my 7th book). I even requested my mom to buy it for me in Barnes and Noble - unfortunately it was out of stock (in which case is probably cheaper, if there's no shipping).

So when I saw it, I immediately asked for it to be kept for 3 days so I can really make a decision since it involves a whopping 8K.

The fear of just having low stocks on this item since it IS expensive, and wanting it since day 1 prompted me to withdraw money and buy it the next afternoon.

And since it was already 8K, I also grabbed the opportunity to raise my receipt from 8k to 10k so I can get that elusive FullyBooked discount card. And since I started reading Nicolas Flemming Series, and plans to read Incarceron series, I bought those - totaling a massive 10K receipt plus 10% discount equaling to 9K (not bad for saving 1K since those books were already planned to be bought anyways)

Funny thing is, I brought the 4th book of the Nicolas Flemming Series instead of the 2nd one because I am still waiting for the hardbound of the 2nd book.

I dare not buy the soft bound, though I can pretty much be ok with it --- for keeping and collecting sake.

TIP: I use magnetic bookmarks. It might be quite pricey as well, but it's very convenient, especially when I am reading in the MRTrain while standing. Plus it takes good care of the pages of you books (because with out it, my book will be filled with folds)

Right now, I am reading the first book of the DuPrau series.
